Our Team

Dean Rager is the founder and president of H2 FinTech. Like many good tech stories, the original idea that led to the formation of H2 FinTech in 2006 started in his basement years earlier. The premise was the simple idea of using the internet as a means of exchanging information to and from the field.

In addition to his role as president, Dean is also the COO of a Broker-Dealer and the CCO of an SEC Registered Investment Advisor. Previously he was an Executive team member of several Broker-Dealers. He also served as Chief Information Officer for the ING Advisors Network where he oversaw technological infrastructure. Dean completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management and received a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. Dean has Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses.

His background and experience have given him a deep understanding of the workings of financial services firms and the “pain” they experience in their day-to-day operations — like paying commissions properly (the split rep numbers “nightmare”), daily trade supervision, and the hundreds of other needs of modern financial services companies.

Dean oversees every aspect of H2 FinTech software and services and guides its future buildout and compliance oversight to ensure the system continues to be developed for quick solutions to complex and ever-changing financial and regulatory environments.

In his spare time, Dean enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Jodee traveling around the world and walking their two bulldogs, Thelma and Louise. When there is any spare time, he enjoys tinkering with all things mechanical.

Sean O’Reilly has been developing software for the financial services industry for more than 18 years. He has expertise in and a detailed understanding of the workings of the financial services industry and the day-to-day processes used by Broker-Dealers and RIAs.

Sean's knowledge and proficiency are at the heart of H2 Fintech’s successful software. He excels in translating Broker-Dealer and RIA needs into innovative and workable software to help make their work lives simpler and more productive so they can spend less time with administrative paperwork and provide more value to their clients. Sean manages the software development pipeline and oversees his team of experienced developers working to continually refine software and add new features. He engages with client firms on a regular basis to get direct feedback and suggestions for enhancements which are frequently used to guide the strategic direction H2’s software follows. He always has an ear bent towards the realities on the ground faced by Broker-Dealers and RIAs both from a regulatory standpoint as well as from a business efficiency perspective.

His interest in technology began by helping lay fiber cable under his high school as part of a cutting-edge grant in the 90s. In his spare time, Sean is an avid reader and retains enduring fascination with information security, artificial intelligence, philosophy, and game theory.
